SoAtomic supports businesses and organizations across industries. Every prospective engagement begins with a consultation and fit review so we can understand the environment, scope, expectations, risks, and whether SoAtomic can provide responsible support.

Do you still work with nonprofits and NPOs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Nonprofits, foundations, community organizations, faith organizations, and similar teams remain welcome. We account for nonprofit budgets, board oversight, staff capacity, documentation needs, grant-funded systems, volunteer lifecycles, and discount programs when assessing technology.

How do relationships begin?

Accepted Answer

Every prospective relationship begins with a consultation and fit review. If the engagement is accepted, the first paid step is usually a Screen assessment ($250) of your cloud environment, web infrastructure, endpoints, spend, or communication systems. From there, we resolve issues or implement improvements through fixed-price Solutions (Atomic Actions at $500 each) or set up a Support plan.

Do you require long-term contracts?

No. Our Support plans and Solutions are flat-rate agreements designed to be simple and transparent. You can cancel your Support subscription at any time. We believe you should stay with us because you value our service, not because of a contract.

How many clients do you accept?

Accepted Answer

SoAtomic intentionally remains a boutique stewardship company. We support a limited number of clients so we can provide careful, hands-on attention, thorough documentation, and fast response times.

Do you work remotely or on-site?

Accepted Answer

Most of our services are completed remotely. We configure and administer cloud services, coordinate device management, and write documentation online. For endpoint deployments or specific setups, we can work with your staff and come on site (travel expense billed to the customer at cost).

Who owns my domains and subscriptions?

Accepted Answer

You do. Everything—your domains, website hosting, cloud tenants, accounts, and subscriptions—remains registered in your name and paid for with your credentials. We have administrator permissions, but you hold the keys.

What happens to my documentation if I leave?

Accepted Answer

The documentation we compile is yours to keep. It includes setup instructions, configuration logs, and inventory lists. If you choose to work with a different provider, they will have everything they need to take over immediately.

Why do you avoid vendor lock-in?

Accepted Answer

We believe technology should make you independent, not dependent. We use standard, industry-supported services like Google Workspace, Cloudflare, and Apple Business Manager, and avoid proprietary systems or custom agency code that requires ongoing retainer payments to maintain.

How do you support Google Workspace and Google Cloud (GCP)?

We assess and administer Google Workspace identity, permissions, groups, Shared Drives, security, recovery, and account ownership. Defined Support plans can also include Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration, configuration documentation, and vendor coordination.

How do you support Apple and Mac environments?

We assess and administer supported Apple and Mac environments, including macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Apple Business Manager, device enrollment, security baselines, updates, inventory, and approved mobile-device management platforms. Physical hardware repair is outside scope.

Do you support Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Copilot?

We can assess, implement, and administer supported Microsoft 365 environments, Windows endpoints, permissions, security settings, licenses, and defined Copilot governance needs when the engagement has been reviewed and accepted. Traditional, highly specialized, legacy, on-premises, or unusually complex Microsoft infrastructure may require separate scoping or a qualified specialist.

Do you support Linux?

Yes, within a defined scope. We can assess and administer supported Linux environments when the distribution, workload, access model, security requirements, and support expectations fit SoAtomic's capabilities. Specialized server roles, custom kernels, unusual application stacks, and highly complex workloads may require separate scoping or a qualified specialist.

Do you work with Boardable, Submittable, and TechSoup?

Yes, within a defined scope. We can review ownership, permissions, subscriptions, nonprofit discounts, workflow dependencies, and supported integrations involving Boardable, Submittable, and TechSoup. Platform support does not imply creative production, routine publishing, or responsibility for every feature.

Do you design websites?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not create or redesign websites, produce content, publish pages, or provide branding, campaigns, analytics, website accessibility audits, or accessibility remediation. Our web-related MSP work is limited to supported infrastructure and operations such as domain and registrar ownership, DNS, SSL, hosting, Cloudflare, backups, uptime, security, administrative access, contact-form delivery, and vendor coordination.

How quickly do you respond to support requests?

Response times depend on your Support plan. For Support and Support Plus we aim for 2hr response times, and for Support Pro and Support Enterprise we aim for 1hr response times.

Can you help set up new computers and onboarding?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our Support Pro and Support Enterprise plans include full user onboarding and offboarding, which covers setting up new user accounts, configuring permissions, enrolling endpoints, and updating documentation.

Is documentation included with support?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Keeping documentation current is part of Technology Stewardship. Whenever we onboard users, update permissions, or modify a cloud setting, we update your documentation records to match.

What is a Technology Stewardship company?

Unlike transactional agencies that sell creative projects or marketing retargeting campaigns, a Technology Stewardship company focuses on the long-term health, stability, and security of your digital foundation. We act as your ongoing technical partner—explaining options clearly, documenting configurations, and treating your systems as if they were our own.

Because without documentation, you do not truly own your setup. If the only person who knows how your systems work leaves, your organization is at risk. We consider documentation part of the service, ensuring you always understand what you own.
